Ivan Lowell Townsend

Ivan Lowell Townsend, 67, of Louise passed away on April 22,2024. He was born April 23, 1956
in El Campo, TX to Emil & Ruby Townsend.
Ivan graduated from Louise High School in 1975. On April 25, 1981 he married the love of his
life, Debra Lynn Carleston. Together they raised two beautiful daughters, Tanya and Tana. In
the late seventies & early eighties, Ivan followed in his father's footsteps of being a farmer. Then
in 1984, Ivan, along with Debbie and his 2 siblings began CIC Constructions, Inc. A true
testament to his workmanship and dedication to his employees, CIC has been in the oilfield
business for 40 years. He could run any piece of equipment you put him on, and he would do it
good. Ivan had a passion for the outdoors and he loved to hunt and fish. If you spent more than
5 minutes with him you were bound to hear about his latest adventure. Sonora, Mexico,
Panama, Bolivia, South Texas, Africa, or Morales, Texas, it didn't matter to him as long as he
could hunt. His greatest passion was watching his grandkids in the duck blind or them taking big
whitetail deer. He would spend countless hours tending to his breeder pens & loved to raise
monster bucks.
Ivan was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Debbie Carleston Townsend; daughter, Tana
Townsend Hajovsky; father in law, John Carleston; sister, Betty Townsend; brother, Kenneth
Townsend.
He is survived by his daughter, Tanya Townsend Bram, and her husband, Craig; his son-in-law,
Cory Hajovsky; his grandchildren, Caleb Bram, Cade Bram, Cale Bram, and Logan Hajovsky;
his siblings, Carolyn Keaton, Linda (Robin) Taylor, Clyde Townsend, and Shirley (Jerry)
Collinsworth; his mother-in-law, Helen Carleston; his sister-in-law, Cynthia (Bud) Blaha; his
nephews, Thomas Taylor and Clint (Miranda) Blaha; and his nieces, Tracy King, Lachelle (Wes)
Callihan, and Caydi Blaha.
Visitation will be Wednesday April 24, 2024 from 5 to 7 pm at Triska's Funeral Home. Funeral
Services will be held on Thursday April 25, 2024, 10am at First Baptist Church in El Campo.
Pallbearers will be Mike Prasek Jr, Chad Morton, Johnnie Gresham, Jack Sebring, Clint Blaha,
and Caleb Bram. Honorary pallbearers are Bud Blaha, his grandkids, all his nieces & nephews,
and the guys from the "Easy".
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Debbie Townsend & Tana Hajovksy Memorial
Scholarship Fund at any First State Bank location.
