Ivon's life will be celebrated through a series of events. The visitation will take place on December 15, 2023, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Henderson's Highland Park Funeral Home in Des Moines, Iowa. On December 16, 2023, the funeral service will be held at First Church of the Open Bible, starting at 1:00 PM and concluding at 2:30 PM. Following the service, Ivon will be laid to rest in Glendale Cemetery at 3:30 PM

 

Ivon Toe, a beloved individual known for her kind heart and generous spirit, passed away on November 8, 2023. She leaves behind cherished memories and a legacy of compassion that will forever be remembered by those who had the privilege of knowing her.

From an early age, Ivon found solace in reading the Bible and nourishing her soul with its teachings. Her faith remained strong throughout her life and served as a guiding light in all that she did.

Ivon had a vibrant personality and a love for the arts. She enjoyed watching movies that touched her heart and listening to beautiful melodies. Her voice was like an angel's, captivating all who heard it. Whether she was singing alone or performing for family and friends, Ivon's voice carried emotion that resonated deeply within everyone.

In the kitchen, Ivon displayed her culinary talents with finesse. Known as a great cook, she delighted in preparing dishes such as palm butter and pepper soup that tantalized taste buds and brought people together around the table. Food became a form of love for Ivon, as she poured her heart into every meal she prepared.

Traveling was another passion that filled Ivon's life with joy. Exploring new places and immersing herself in different cultures allowed her to expand her horizons. The memories she made during her adventures were cherished treasures that she shared with enthusiasm whenever given the chance.

Family gatherings, especially during Christmas and Thanksgiving, held a special place in Ivon's heart. Her home would burst at the seams with warmth and laughter as loved ones came together to celebrate these occasions. The joyous atmosphere she created was truly unforgettable.

Ivon had a kindred spirit, always looking for ways to help others in need. Her compassion extended beyond those close to her; it reached out to strangers in homeless shelters and children in need of gifts during the holiday season. Whenever someone fell ill, Ivon would step forward, offering support and donating whatever resources she could to aid in their recovery. Her acts of generosity were heartfelt, and the impact she made on countless lives will forever be treasured.

Ivon leaves behind her son, Richmond Wright, as well as her mother and father. She also leaves behind a loving circle of family and friends who adored her deeply. Among them are Paulive Toe, Yancy, Stephen, Gbaguie, Nyanford, Gbaquie, Suiday, and Bioh. Each person touched by Ivon's presence carries a piece of her light within their hearts.
