Surviving are his wife, Carol Ark of Piper City; one son, John R. Ark Jr. of Piper City; one daughter, Judy Kietzman of Piper City; four grandchildren, John J. (Lindsay) Ark, Jennie (Chuck) Black, Josh (Alison) Kietzman, and Jeff (Melissa) Kietzman; and twelve great grandchildren.
He was preceded in passing by his parents; two brothers, Lyle and Dale Ark; two sisters, Betty Resler and Helen Springer; granddaughter, Angela Schafer; son in law, Gary Kietzman; and daughter in law, Kathy Ark.
Mr. Ark was a lifelong farmer in the Piper City area. He enjoyed fishing and woodworking.
Visitation will be on Friday, July 21, 2023 from 4:00-7:00 pm at the Knapp-Redenius Funeral Home in Gilman. Private graveside services will be held at Brenton Twp. Cemetery in Piper City.
Memorials may be made to American Cancer Society or Donor's Choice.
