J. Scott Fenyus, 62, husband of Mary A. Fenyus (Tewksbury) Fenyus, has passed peacefully into the loving arms of Jesus Christ on Monday, December 4, 2023, at his home in Gilbertsville.
Born in Pottstown, he was the son of the late Joseph James Fenyus and Joyce (McFarland) Fenyus Blankhorn. His step-father was Larry Blankhorn.
Scott was a kind hearted, compassionate, godly man. He was a faithful friend & husband. Scott loved the Lord and had great faith and touched many lives by sharing his testimony and witnessing to others. Faith and family were of great importance to him. He was a car enthusiast and enjoyed watching NASCAR and going to car shows. He loved being outside landscaping in his yard or just sitting on the front porch with his beautiful Golden Retriever, Skylar, by his side, both watching the world go by. He was a football, hockey, and tennis fan. In his spare time, he enjoyed antiquing. He attended Berean Bible Church for many years before joining Hope Community Church in Gilbertsville. He will be remembered as a very loving and patient husband, brother and son. No one will ever forget his infectious laughter and brilliant blue eyes.
Surviving along with his wife Mary of 18 years, is his mother Joyce Blankhorn; Sister Margot Cushing, wife of the late Bruce Cushing; nephew Joshua Cushing (Sarah); niece Marissa Hadley, (Jason), and 5 great nieces and nephews and his dog Skylar. He is predeceased by his beloved Golden Retrievers, Allie and Noah.
Visitation for friends and family will be held on Monday, December 11, 2023 from 9:30-11:30 AM at Catagnus Funeral Home, 329 N. Lewis Road., Royersford, PA. 19468 followed by a funeral service with Pastor Ryan Kiefer officiating. Burial will follow at Limerick Garden of Memories.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Scott's name to the Benevolence Ministry at Hope Community Church, 2732 North Charlotte St., Gilbertsville, Pa. 19525 or on-line at @hopegilbertsville.org or to morrisanimalfoundation.org (Golden Retriever Life-time Research Study)
