Memorial services for Mr. J Scott Jackson, 62, of Wilson, Oklahoma, will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, January 4, 2025, at the Alexander Gray Funeral Home Chapel in Wilson.
J Scott was born on October 27, 1962, in Ardmore, OK, to the late Mr. Larry Buck Jackson. He spent much of his childhood in Wilson before relocating with his father to Oklahoma City, where he graduated high school in 1980. Shortly thereafter, he worked alongside his uncle, Charles, in Texas, engaging in construction work. In 1982, he proudly served in the United States Air Force until his honorable discharge in 1988.
On October 6, 1988, he married Angie McKinnon, and they welcomed their beloved daughter, Kelli, on October 30, who brought immense joy to his life. J Scott dedicated 13 years to E-Systems until its closure and also worked for OAS in Arkansas as a mechanic for marine vessels in both Arkansas and Oklahoma City, ultimately contributing his skills at Four Brothers in Texas.
One of J Scott's greatest passions was working on airplanes, including notable projects like Air Force One and aircraft for the Prince of Saudi Arabia. He returned to Oklahoma in the spring of 2024 to be closer to his daughter and grandchildren. J Scott had a knack for building and repairing various items, from planes and boats to cars, and recently took up knife building. He cherished moments watching his grandchildren and enjoyed attending concerts and sporting events with his daughter and son-in-law. He particularly loved spending time on the front porch with Kelli, sharing stories and laughter.
J Scott is preceded in death by his grandparents, LB and Alzada Jackson; his father, Larry Buck Jackson; his aunts, Dixie Sullivan and Judy Baucom; and his uncle, Charles Baucom.
He is survived by his daughter, Kelli Sanner, and son-in-law Jeremy, whom he considered like a son; his cherished grandchildren, Remington, Rexi, and Rustin Sanner; his granddog, Deebo; his sister, Melody Epley; his brother, Butch Watkins, and wife Patty; as well as his special cousin, Dana Langer, and husband Phillip, who he treasured like a sister. He will also be missed by numerous nieces, nephews, and special cousins.
