J.C. Suddeth, Jr., 69, of Smiths Station, Alabama, passed away on June 20, 2022.
A service of remembrance will be held at 2:00 PM EST on Thursday, June 23, 2022, in the chapel of Vance Brooks Funeral Home located at 3738 U.S. Highway 431 North, Phenix City, AL, with the Rev. Ricky Ward officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home prior to the service.
Mr. Suddeth was born in Columbus, Georgia, the son of the late J.C. Suddeth, Sr., and Addie Mae Broadwater Suddeth. He spent most of his life in the Smiths Station and Seale areas except for a brief period where he proudly served his country in the United States Army. J.C. was the owner of Suddeth Detailing Service, a business he truly loved and was proud of. He was also a Structural Steel Detailer for Circle H Welding and Fabrications, a career he truly loved. J.C. was a gifted metal fabricator and could design and draw plans to include the intricate details of his visions and projects. He could bring to life the ideas of others and himself in design and specifications. He enjoyed firearms and collecting knives. He believed in having two or three of everything. Above all, he loved and cherished his family.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Suddeth was preceded in death by one daughter Alicia Sadler and one granddaughter Breanna Christopher.
Left to cherish his memory is a daughter Jessica Long and her husband Joseph of Weaver, AL; sisters Evelyn Smith and her husband Bobby of Salem, AL, Geraldine Jacobs of Smiths Station, AL, Sarah Yap and husband Lip Sin Yap of San Jose, CA and Sandra Fuschetti and husband Bob of Lakeland, FL; grandchildren J.T. Christopher and his wife Madison of Ohatchee, AL, Heaven Rush and Reagan of Piedmont, AL; Lexie Windle and Ashley Windle both of Reeltown, AL and three great grandchildren.
