Jack Barker Sr, 73, a resident of Zachary, LA and a native of Carville, LA, died on Sunday, October 26, 2025. There will be a visitation at Charlet Funeral Home, Inc. in Zachary, LA on Wednesday, October 29, 2025 from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm and then on Thursday, October 30, 2025, from 9:00 am until funeral services at 10:00 am, conducted by Robert Henry Barker Jr. Burial will be at the First United Pentecostal Cemetery in Clinton, LA. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Deborah Barker; four daughters: Rachel Smith; Sarah Stockton and Kevin; Winter Smith and Nathan; and Summer Arnold; four sons: Jack Barker Jr; William J. Barker and Samantha; Richard D. Stevison; Jacob Elston; two sisters: Murtle Collins; Joanne Collins and husband Carl; one brother, Tony Barker and Carolyn; twelve grandchildren: Adam Deville, Presley Smith (Devin), Price Nixon, Alivia Stevison, Abel Barker, Rylee Stevison, Khloe Smith, Camille Stevison, Cannan Stockson, Remmington Arnold, Gunner Arnold, and Sophia Smith; and great-grandchild Devin B. Feemster Jr. He was preceded in death by his grandchild, Miranda Smith; parents James and Mary Barker; brothers John "Buck" Barker, James Barker, David Barker, Robert Barker, Joseph Barker, and Charles Barker. Pallbearers will be Richard Stevison, Jacob Elston, Adam Deville, Chugga Barker, Nathan Smith, Kevin Stockson, Jack Barker, and William Barker. He will be remembered as a preacher and a gospel guitar player.
