Jack "Dub" William Brossette, 84, of Texas City, Texas passed away on October 27, 2022 at HCA Mainland Hospital. He was born in Smackover, Arkansas on January 24, 1938. He was the youngest of 5 children born to Mack Joseph Brossette and Ethel Inez Everett.
Dub started working in the oil field industry at a very young age to help take care of his Mother when his Father died. Later in life, he became an amazing caretaker for his disabled step-son, Ricky Uzzel, for 30 years until his health failed.
He was of Pentecostal Faith. He was very active in the church, volunteering for what ever was going on. Dub cooked many briskets for his church family. He will definitely be remembered for his cooking and taking care of everyone but him self. He would tell people, "If you leave this house hungry, it's your own fault."
Dub loved fishing, westerns, cooking, and praising the Lord.
He is preceded in death by his parents Mack Joseph and Ethel Brossette; sisters Hazel Hibler, Edna Mae Jackson; brothers Mack Brossette, Dean Brossette ; three wives Velma, Betty,and Carolyn; daughter Jackie Woolridge; grandson Steven Shown; great grandson Dakota Shown.
He is survived by his daughter Connie Shown of Texas City, TX; son Jimmy Brossette of Houston, TX; adopted daughter Lee Jozwiak of Texas City, TX; granddaughters Amber Brown of Livingston, TX, Amanda Burrows of Virginia; grandson Jeremy Hukill and wife Tara of Burleson, TX; great granddaughter Morgan Hukill; great grandsons Dylan Blackburn, Jackson Hukill, and Ryder Burrows. He also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
