My name is Randy Varney. I posted an entry in Jack Burckhalter's remembrances
Incorrectly and very much need to correct the name of Jack's son from Trey to Trent. Is it possible to correct my mistake? Randy Varney

I grew up with Byron and Jack in the 1960' and 1970's. We played in Burckhalter Woods and threw many footballs in the field along Barton Road. It was all about tackling .
My most memorable times with Jack were spent at Clarks Hill lake
In the 1980's. With the goal being to drown one another, we had many spirited times in the water . As usual , there was a buzz to be had by all. It all happened normally on the July 4th holiday and in retrospect you realize those times were the best of your life and Jack was a part of it all.
I am truly saddened by Jack's passing. I offer my sincere condolences to his entire family for the loss of such a good, kind-hearted man. Though we never met ,Trey , may God provide you with peace and wisdom to navigate a world without a father.
I also wish Jack's siblings the same peace and wisdom as they cope with the loss of a brother. Closing with much love and remembrances , Randy Varney Atlanta,GA.
