Jack B. Burckhalter

North Augusta, SC – Funeral Services for Mr. Jack B. Burckhalter, 63, who entered into rest July 2, 2024, will be conducted Monday morning, July 8th, at 11 o'clock in the Posey Funeral Chapel with Rev. Tom Rogers officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service from 10 until 11 o'clock.
Jack was born June 17, 1961, was a lifelong resident of North Augusta, and a 1980 graduate of North Augusta High School. He was a long-time member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church and retired as a welder from TTX Railroad with 27 years of service. Jack was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed vegetable and flower gardening, tending to his yard, and fishing. Some of his favorite hobbies included watching NASCAR and searching for arrowheads and Native American artifacts. He was known by his family as an amateur weatherman and always kept his family and friends up to date on the forecast. Jack's beloved pet, Dixie, had a special place in his heart but his greatest joy in life was his family, especially his children.
Jack was preceded in death by his father, William Theodore Burckhalter, Jr.; his stepfather, Eben Beasley, Jr.; and a brother-in-law, Gene Garvin. Surviving family members include his mother, Anne Blue Beasley; his son, Trent Burckhalter (Ashley); his daughter, Amber Burckhalter, who he affectionately called "LuLu"; his siblings, Joe Burckhalter (Debbie), Gail Lobaugh (Howard), Byron Burckhalter (Lynn), Pam B. Garvin; Blue Burckhalter (Darlene), and Tony Burckhalter (Terri); and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Joe Burckhalter, Byron Burckhalter, Blue Burckhalter, Tony Burckhalter, Tim Varney, and Kyle Brown.
