Jack Hardy Dail, 84, of Tyner, NC, passed away Sunday, January 26, 2025, in Elizabeth City Health and Rehabilitation.
Mr. Dail was born in Perquimans County on August 18, 1940, and was the son of the late Alphonso Henry and Callie Lilly Dail. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Barbara Ward Dail, former wife, Darlene Harrell Dail; his sister, Dorothy Dail; and brothers, Jack H., Nathan, and Amos Dail.
A lifelong farmer, he was a member of Calvary Pentecostal Holiness Church.
Surviving are his children, his son, Ken Dail (wife, Rebecca) of Tyner, two daughters, Kim Dail of Richmond, VA and Jackie Dail Creamer (husband, Kerry) of Jacksonville, FL; two sisters, Mary Ann Carter and Caroline Trueblood, both of Hertford; three brothers, Jody Dail of Belvidere, Carlton Dail of Edenton, and Gene Dail of Hertford; three grandchildren, Casey Priest (husband, Shane), Blake Dail, and Olivia Creamer; former wife, Rhonda Bass Dail; and many nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
Funeral services will be held Thursday at 3:00 p.m. in the Miller & Van Essendelft Funeral Chapel, 1125 Harvey Point Road, Hertford, and will be conducted by Pastor Joe Jackson. A private burial will follow in the Dail Family Cemetery near the home. Friends may visit with the family Wednesday from 5 to 7 p.m. in the funeral home, and other times at Ken and Rebecca’s home, 145 Hunter’s Fork Road, Tyner.
