It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Jack S. Dunn, beloved father, grandfather, and friend, on Monday, the 7th of April 2025, at the age of 68, at Adena Regional Medical Center, Chillicothe. Jack was born on September 3, 1956, in Chillicothe, a son of the late Floyd Dunn and Betty Merie Day Dunn. He is survived by his brother, Gary Day of Frankfort. He was preceded in death by his sister, Debra Jo Davis, brothers, Blenn “Ben” Dunn, and Rick Dunn, nephew, Blenn “Benny” Dunn, Jr..
Throughout his remarkable life, Jack was known for his passion for hunting and fishing. Whether it was through childhood friendships or longstanding relationships formed through his body shop, he made a lasting impact on all who knew him. Jack touched the lives of numerous people.
Among his many accomplishments, Jack was most proud of his children. Jack’s legacy will live on through them. He is survived by his son, Josh (Autumn) Dunn of Clarksburg, daughter, Heather Dunn (Brian) of Madeira Beach, Florida, grandson, Jake Dunn of Clarksburg, granddaughter, Jordyn (Ryan) Scappini of Pensacola, Florida, and great-granddaughter, Lilliana Scappini of Pensacola, Florida.
A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, April 11, 2025, in the EBRIGHT FUNERAL HOME, Frankfort. Following the service, he will be laid to rest in Greenlawn Cemetery, Frankfort. Relatives and friends can visit at the funeral home on Friday from 11 a.m. until the time of the service. Those who want to share a memory of Jack may sign his online register.
