Jack Huddle Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Graham Funeral Home & Cremation Services on Dec. 30, 2025.
Jack D. Huddle, 87, passed away peacefully in his home, on December 28, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. Born on September 10, 1938, in Pulaski, Virginia, Jack was the son of the late Marvin and Ethelyne Huddle. He lived a life serving his Savior, Jesus Christ, and loving his family so dearly. He leaves a legacy of four generations of followers of Christ. Jack was many things to many people including a devoted husband, father, son, uncle, grandad, great-grandad, deacon, co-worker, and friend.
He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, and daughter-in-law. Jack leaves behind a beloved family that was his greatest joy, including the love of his life Lois; his children Jackie (Lin), Jeff, Mimi (Mat); his grandchildren Josh (Rebecca), Michael, Brittany (Ihor), and Mikayla; and his four great-grandchildren.
Jack had many accomplishments in his life. He was married to his sweetheart Lois for 68 years. He attended Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University as a cadet. He retired from Norfolk Southern after 35 years of loyal and devoted service as a yardmaster. He served at Kempsville Presbyterian Church as a deacon, usher, and long-time member. He had the honor of watching his family grow to the 4th generation. He provided and served his family with his wisdom as the head of the household, looking to the Lord as his guide. He was kind, generous, loving, and a respectful man. Jack enjoyed hunting, fishing, woodworking, cheering on the Washington Commanders and Virginia Tech Hokies, but most importantly telling others about Jesus.
Jack will be greatly missed by his loving family and all of those that knew him. His legacy will continue to live on through his family and friends. He is now in a better place with his loving Savior and is healed, whole, and made new again.
A graveside service to celebrate Jack's life will be held Monday, January 5, 2026, at 2 p.m. at Chesapeake Memorial Gardens, 524 Cedar Road, Chesapeake.
