Jack Laverne Huenergardt

HUENERGARDT, JACK L., passed away July 7, 2023 at Wesley Medical Center at the age of 89 years. He had been residing at Andover Court in Andover with his wife (Sherry) of 66 years until her passing on December 24, 2022.
Jack was born and raised in Wichita where he attended the Wichita State University. He then served in the Army for 2 years after which his career was spent in the Engineering Department of Beech Aircraft. His hobby and love of horses took up much of his time outside his work hours. He and his wife trained and showed quarter horses throughout the midwest earning numerous trophies and belt buckles. His skill in training horses was written up in trade journals. In his later years Jack became a judge for horses at fairs and rodeos traveling into several states to do so. Most of his married life was spent on property in Andover where he could raise and train horses.
Jack and his wife both chose cremation without any service. The will both be buried in the Andover Cemetery.
