Jack B. Knox, 75, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 31, 2025, at ECU Health Medical Center.
A memorial graveside service will be held at Pinewood Memorial Park on Sunday, January 11, at 2PM.
Jack, a native of Pitt County, was born on November 20, 1950. He was a graduate of Stokes-Pactolus High School before working at NACCO for over 25 years. He married his childhood sweetheart, Linda K. Knox, on June 6, 1969, three days after graduating high school.
Jack served at Grindle Creek Church of God, faithfully, until its closing. He enjoyed playing the bass guitar for worship and teaching adult Sunday School class. Jack was also a member of Greenville Church of God. He enjoyed watching westerns and spending time with friends and family. Jack was a loving husband, father, and faithful friend to those close to him.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 48 years, Linda K. Knox; parents, George and Blanche Knox; brothers, Alvin and Dalton; and sisters, Evelyn Adams, and Kay Murphy.
Jack is survived by his Daughter, Tracey L. Knox; Sister, Jean Baker; Sisters-in-law, Carolyn Knox and Anne Knox.
The family would like to thank Palliative Care at ECU Health for their kindness and excellent care in his final days; and his sister-in-law, Carolyn Knox, for being there, and for her help and support during this time.
