Jack Holt Lovelis, age 81, of Nashville, Arkansas passed away on Sunday, August 24, 2025, at his home in Nashville. He was born December 13, 1943, in Nashville, Arkansas the son of Herman “Big Jack” Nussbaum Lovelis and Katherine Viola Holt Lovelis.
Mr. Lovelis was a member of the County Line Baptist Church in Nashville. He enjoyed spending time in the mornings at the local coffee clubs at The Hickory House and Road Mart. Jack was a proud graduate of the University of Arkansas with a degree in accounting. He started at Cassady Hatchery and concluded his career retiring with the State of Arkansas as an auditor. He had a servant’s heart and took care of his mother, grandmother, aunts, and his wife. Jack loved his children and grandchildren and enjoyed spending time with them.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Steve Lovelis, great granddaughter Elaine Alexander, and grandson Austin Lofland.
Survivors include his wife Gwen Lovelis; his four children Kelley (Marty) Quinn, Kim (Steve) Alexander, Scott (Lynette) Lovelis and Matt (Kolby) Lovelis; grandchildren Lynsay (Casey) Cook, Tyler Quinn, Jeffery (Megan) Lovelis, Austin (Bekah) Lovelis, Maddie Lovelis, Hunter Alexander, Karlie Alexander, Brett Lovelis, Zoe Lovelis, Gabby Lovelis, and Zachary Dowdle; six great grandchildren Bentley Alexander, Knox Alexander, Owen Lovelis, Mason Lovelis, Greyson Lovelis, and Huttson Lovelis. As well extended family and friends.
Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, August 28, at Latimer Funeral Home in Nashville.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Friday, August 29, at County Line Baptist Church with Bro. Johnny Baker officiating, burial will follow at Ozan Cemetery at Bingen, under the direction of Latimer Funeral Home in Nashville.
Pallbearers will be Tyler Quinn, Jeffery Lovelis, Austin Lovelis, Hunter Alexander, Brett Lovelis, and Ryan Lovelis.
Honorary pallbearers will be Zac Dowdle and Marlin Massey.
