Heflebower Funeral ServicesJack Allison Miller, Jr., who would have celebrated his 75th birthday on December 21, passed away on November 17, 2025.
Jack graduated from the University of Colorado with a degree in pharmacy and vocal performance. He and his wife Jeanne, married for 53 years on November 22, moved to the Summit High Country where Jack shared a drugstore with his parents - a perfect place to raise their young family. Later they returned to Boulder, where Jack continued to ski, bike, swim, do yoga, and embrace the outdoors.
Family was always Jack's greatest joy. He retired to spend every possible moment with his granddaughters. Alongside his devotion to family, Jack's lifelong passion was singing. From his college days with the CU Buffoons to nearly three decades with The Wizard Oil Combination, music was the heartbeat of his life. The Wizards were not just fellow singers, but family.
Jack is survived by his wife Jeanne; daughter Chandi Beck; son Kirk Patrick Miller; and granddaughters Chaya Sammy Beck and Aliyah Beck. His sister, Cindy McCoy and brother-in-law, Don McCoy residing in Summit County.
A memorial service will be held on November 30, 2025 and 2:00 pm at Grace Commons Chapel, 1820 15th Street, Boulder, Colorado 80302.
At Jack's request, the Native American prayer will be sung at the service, reminding us that his spirit endures:
"Do not stand at my grave and weep, I am not there, I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow, I am the diamond glint on snow.
Do not stand at my grave and cry, I am not there, I did not die."
Jack will be remembered for his kindness, patience, and the music he shared so generously. His legacy lives on in the love of his family and the songs that will continue to echo in the hearts of those who knew him.
Please send us any special memories, funny stories, or happenings that you might have to [email protected]. We would like to make a bound memory book for Jack's two granddaughters.
