Jack Vernon Rippy Jr., 67, of Rock Falls, died on Saturday, January 15, 2022 at CGH Medical Center. Jack was born on October 1, 1954 in Sterling, the son of Jack V. and Marilyn (Waller) Rippy Sr. He was employed as an auto mechanic in the area for many years, as well as a personal assistant for 35 years. Jack loved working on motors and would always extend a helping hand to anyone that needed it. Survivors include his life partner, Maxine Kurschner of Rock Falls; three daughters, Chris, Sheila, and Jody Rippy, all of Clinton, IA; two sons, Jack V. (Dana) Rippy III of Alexandria, LA, and Joseph Rippy of Waldren, AR; two sisters, Cheryl Denning, and Vicki Rippy, both of Rock Falls; two brothers, David Rippy of Rock Falls, and James (Lisa) Rippy of Polo; 11 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; great uncle, Larry (Wanda) Rippy of Rock Falls; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Jack was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Richard and Timothy Rippy; and one granddaughter, Kayla Labath. Cremation rites will be accorded. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
