Jack Rose

Jackie Lee "Jack" Rose, age 63, of Orrville, died Wednesday, February 21, 2024, surrounded by family at his home in Orrville, following a three year battle with cancer.
Jack was born on April 12, 1960, in Orrville, to Foster and Rose Mary (Fleming) Rose and graduated from Orrville High School in 1979. He married Rhonda Sue Fisher on May 29, 2010, in Nassau, Bahamas.
He worked in several positions for the Will-Burt Company in Orrville for 34 years, with his last position as the as a Director of Operations. Most recently he was the Plant Manager for JAE Tech in Apple Creek for the last 11 years.
Jack was a member of the Orrville American Legion, the Orrville Exchange Club where he served on the Board, and also served on the Orrville Chamber of Commerce Board. He enjoyed playing poker and writing, but most of all, he will be remembered as a great husband, father and papaw.
Surviving are his wife, Rhonda Rose; four children, Foster (Stacey) Rose of Orrville, Jennifer (Ben) Burge of Wooster, Corey (Lindsy) Hochstetler of Orrville, and Brent Rose of NC; nine grandchildren, Haylee, Scarlett, Jaxon, Samuel, Nora, Ava, Delaney, Coralin and Isla; step-mother, Sally Rose of GA; five sisters, Vicky (Mark) Horner of Norton, Beverli (Diane Grosjean) Morrison of Shreve, Tangela (Kris) Barnette of Akron, Alma Rose of Orrville, and Lora (Rich) Wyant of GA; a brother-in-law, Tom Smith of Akron; and 11 nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Foster Floyd Rose; mother, Rose Mary McQuaide; step-father, Joseph McQuaide; and sister, Linda Smith.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Jack's birthday, Friday, April 12, 2024, from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm, at the Orrville American Legion, 237 East Market Street, Orrville.
