Jack Stapp Obituary
Jack was born on February 22, 1958, in Fort Oglethorpe, GA. Jack was an active member of Mercy Ridge Church. Jack was a talented athlete throughout his life and was named Most Athletic in Kirkman High School. He coached for most of his life men's and women's softball, women's basketball, as well as the church softball team. Jack loved Elvis Presley and the old gospel music brought him great comfort throughout his life. He was an avid fan of the Alabama Crimson Tide.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, John and Jessie Davis; and his son, Michael Christopher Stapp.
Survivors include his wife of 44 years, Starr Stapp; his brother, Chris (Sheila) Stapp; and several nieces, nephews, and extended family members and friends.
A visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, March 19, 2026, South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home in Rossville, GA.
A funeral service will take place at 9:30 a.m. on Friday, March 20, 2026, at the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home in Rossville, GA. Burial will follow at Tennessee-Georgia Memorial Park in Rossville, GA.
Condolences may be shared with the Stapp family at www.lane-southcrestchapel.com.
