With profound sorrow, we announce the passing of Jack Cornelis Vanderwaal Jr., affectionately known as JC, who left us on May 30, 2025. Born on June 18, 1957, in Enumclaw, WA, Jack's life was a testament to adventure and ambition, and he exemplified charisma in all his endeavors.
Jack's adventurous spirit was evident in his love for outdoor activities. Whether it was riding dirt bikes, water skiing, or camping, he embraced life with a robust enthusiasm that was infectious. His ambition drove him in his career in Sales, where he displayed an unbeatable charisma that made him a beloved figure among colleagues. Jack also spent a considerable part of his life in various locations, including Pacific, WA, Enumclaw, WA, and Payette, ID, before finally settling in Centralia, Washington, where he spent the last four years. His love for maintaining a pristine lawn is vividly remembered among all who knew him.
Jack is survived by his children Tara Fralick (Nathan), Jack III, Stephanie VanderWaal, Kasey Potter (Eva), and Brandy McAvoy (Danial). He also leaves behind his father Jack VanderWaal Sr, his brother Lane VanderWaal, and his ex-wives Sandy VanderWaal and Cheryl Perez. He also leaves behind two Grandsons Michael and Dallas from his daughter Tara, and two grandsons to Gavin and Lochlan from his daughter Brandy. He was predeceased by his mother Yarnell VanderWaal and his sister Tawnia Love. As the famous quote says, "Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away," and Jack surely had his share of breathtaking moments.
We invite those who knew Jack to share their memories and upload photos on the memorial page. Your contributions will serve as a fitting tribute to a life well lived, and a man dearly missed.
