Mrs. Regina Jacqueline Plymal Botting, commonly known as Jackie, age 76, of Jonesboro, Georgia passed away on Friday, June 13, 2025, at home surrounded by her family. She was born on April 30, 1949, in College Park, Georgia, the daughter of Ralph Plymal and Mildred Cater Plymal. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Heather Robinson.
Jackie and Roger started a family-owned company in 1982 and proudly ran it for 23 years as the "boss" of Cargo UK. She retired early to care for her beloved daughter, Heather, embracing family life with the same dedication she gave to her career. Jackie had a sharp eye for color and design, which she brought to life through her love of gardening and decorating. She loved to travel the world, but her favorite place was always home. She adored her dogs. She was "hell on wheels" with her fiery spirit, but Jackie was also sweet, genuine, and deeply devoted to her family.
She is survived by her husband of 43 years, Roger Harold Botting; daughter, Laurie (Russell) Arnold and son, Scott (Kerri) McCoy; 10 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; sisters, Kathy Burns and Sherri Lowery; as well as several extended family members and a host of friends.
A service to honor Jackie's life will take place on Tuesday, June 17, 2025, beginning at 11:00 AM in the chapel of Cannon Cleveland Funeral Directors. Pastor Chris Daigle will officiate the service. The family will receive friends on Monday, June 16, 2025, from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Those who wish may sign the online guest registry at www.cannonclevelandfunerals.com.
