Jackie Lynn "Jack" Lambert, 80, of Newport, Michigan, passed away peacefully on October 31, 2025, surrounded by the love of his life, Lillian Ann Lambert, and his daughter, Jennifer Ann Bondy, following complications from a stroke. Born on March 29, 1945, in Tazewell, Tennessee, Jack lived a life defined by love, hard work, and generosity. His warmth, dedication, and his smile will be forever remembered by those who had the privilege of knowing him.
Jack grew up surrounded by the rolling hills and close-knit community of his hometown, Tazewell, TN. Those early years instilled in him a deep appreciation for family, hard work and the simple joys of life-values that would guide him throughout his life. Jack was a member of Blair's Creek Baptist Church. Jack graduated from Claiborne County High School in 1964. Following high school, he joined The United States Army in 1965 and was honorably discharged in 1967. After returning home from the service Jack married his best friend and love, Lillian Ann Minton, of Tazewell, TN on November 22, 1968. Jack excelled in academics at Walter State University from 1969 to 1971. Together Jack and Ann moved to Michigan in 1973. Jack was employed by Ford Motor Company in Woodhaven, MI from 1973 to 2006 when he retired after 33 years of service.
Jack built a life defined by strength and compassion. He understood the value of hard work and carried that ethic with him in every job and task he undertook. Whether working on his farm, maintaining his yard, or lending a helping hand to a neighbor, Jack did so with quiet pride and sincerity. Those who knew him often recall his willingness to give without ever expecting anything in return. Jack's proudest accomplishments, however, could be found at home. He shared a loving nearly 56-year marriage with his wife, Ann Lambert, who remained his steadfast companion through all of life's seasons. Together, they created a home filled with laughter, love, and simple joys. Their bond was one of deep devotion and understanding, the kind built on a lifetime of shared experiences. The couple raised a daughter, Jennifer Bondy, who was the light of Jack's life. To Jennifer, Jack was more than a father-he was a teacher, protector, and constant source of encouragement. He delighted in her successes, offered guidance when life grew difficult, and cherished every moment spent with her and her son, Tanner Bondy. Tanner was a source of so much happiness in Jack's life and he loved being a Papaw to such a sweet boy. Jack and Tanner enjoyed exploring the family farm together, building Legos, swimming, attending the local fair; anything that allowed them to spend time together.
Those closest to Jack will remember Jack's joy for life, sense of humor, compassion and love for his family/friends, and the satisfaction he found in even the smallest victories of daily life. He was the kind of man who made everyone feel welcome, who found happiness simply by being among those he loved. Jack leaves behind a legacy built not on grand accomplishments but on the enduring impact of kindness, integrity, and the quiet strength of a good man. He will be deeply missed by his wife, Ann; his daughter, Jennifer; his grandson, Tanner; his sisters, Glenda and Delores, that he shared a special bond with and the many loved ones and friends whose lives he touched.
Jack was proceeded in death by his parents, Virgil and Edith Lambert; his sister, Vivian Lister; brothers, Lewis Lambert, Jerry Lambert, James Lambert and Johnny Lambert.
Jack is survived by his wife, Ann Lambert of Newport, MI; daughter, Jennifer Bondy (Justin Sexton) of Temperance, MI; grandson, Tanner Bondy of Temperance, MI; sisters, Delores Cupp (Steve) of New Tazewell, TN; Glenda Shockley (Dennis) of New Tazewell, TN; Carolyn Greene (David) of New Tazewell, TN and Nancy Lambert of Tazewell, TN.
