Jackie Wayne Mounger passed away on September 30, 2025, just shy of his 82nd birthday. Born on October 13, 1943, in Farmersville, TX, Jackie built a life defined by hard work and deep, quiet devotion to his family.

Jackie was a dedicated truck driver, holding a CDL and working in the transportation industry for decades. His career took him to some unique places-he even used his trucking skills behind the scenes on movie sets, helping to move and set up equipment for shows like Walker, Texas Ranger. He was a solid man, known for his reserved nature. He didn't waste words, and anyone who knew him understood that when Jackie spoke, you listened. More importantly, every quiet action he took communicated his profound love for his family. He was a truly loving grandfather and a cornerstone of his family. And he loved to sing and play the guitar.

Jackie is survived by his loving wife, Christine Mounger, with whom he shared a remarkable and inspiring marriage of over six decades. Their love is an inspiration to us all. He is also survived by his children, Kelly Spoonemoore and Billy Mounger; his grandchildren, Ashley Mitchell and husband Travis, Starr Spoonemoore, Misti Mounger, and Michael West; and his great-grandchildren, Shawn Oliver and Ember Mitchell. He will also be missed by a wide circle of extended family and beloved friends.

Jackie was preceded in death by his mother, Vera Dutton; his brothers, Roger Dutton, Bobby Dutton, Charles Edwards, and Kenny Edwards; his sister, Carolyn Tillery; and his grandson, Bradley Mounger.

A Memorial Service will be held in Jackie's honor on Wednesday, October 8, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at the Lynch Funeral Home Chapel in Caddo Mills, TX.
