Jackie Lewayne White Sr.

Jackie Lewayne White, 80, of Pace passed away on May 15, 2025. He was born on March 6, 1945 in Covington County, AL to Sidney and Vonnie White.
Most of his career was spent working on an offshore oil rig in Louisiana. He coached many youth sports and was involved with Chumuckla Community Center. He was also involved with the Boy Scouts of America with his son and grandsons. Jackie was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. Most people knew him as "Pa", a very loving generous and kindhearted man.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 52 years, Brenda Gail White; his grandson, Matthew Blakely Nordstrom; his parents; and siblings: Sidney, Nell, Mabel, Mavis, Peggy, Gerald, Bobby, and Glois.
Survivors include son, Jackie Lewayne White, Jr. (Melanie); daughter, Vonnie Rebecca Williams (Joel Wayne); grandsons, Daniel Alexander White Nordstrom (Colby) and Jacob Richard Nordstrom (Tiffany); granddaughter, Sarah Gail Williams; great grandchildren: Easton and Carter Nordstrom, James, Zaydia and Naomi Nordstrom, and Matthew L.W. Nordstrom; and sister, Shirley Ann Allen.
Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until the funeral service begins at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, May 22, 2025 at Trahan Family Funeral Home, Milton Chapel.
Burial will follow at Serenity Gardens Cemetery.
