Jackie Woods, born on August 10, 1960, in Greenville, South Carolina, has left this world far too soon, passing away on April 17, 2025. Her departure from this life has left a deep void in the hearts of those who loved her. Jackie was a remarkable stay-at-home mother, devoted to raising her children and ensuring they had everything they needed.
With a wonderful sense of humor, Jackie had a unique talent for making others laugh, brightening the lives of everyone around her. Her joyous spirit was also reflected in her adventurous side, as she loved going for long drives, exploring the little nooks and crannies along the way. She found peace and joy not only in her explorations but also in simpler pleasures like fishing and gardening, nurturing her plants with the same love she gave to her family. An experimental cook, Jackie delighted in preparing meals for her loved ones, often surprising them with delicious concoctions that filled their home with comfort and belonging. Her passions extended to the soulful melodies of country music, with a special affection for The Eagles, whose tunes danced in the background of her life’s moments.
Jackie’s legacy of love, laughter, and warmth lives on through her cherished daughter, Loulou Putnam, and her loving husband, Josh. The family is eagerly anticipating the arrival of her granddaughter, Violet Marie Putnam, whose life will surely be enriched by the same love and kindness that Jackie embodied.
Jackie is also remembered fondly by her beloved sisters, Barbara Romero, Linda Chaplin, Tracy Raasch, and Tammy Standford, along with numerous nieces and nephews who treasured their time with her. Their hearts are heavy with loss, but they also carry beautiful memories of Jackie, a shining light in their lives.
Jackie's life was marked by the profound love she shared with her family and friends. Reunited in Heaven with her deeply missed son, Marvin "Bubba" Woods, Jr., Jackie finds solace in knowing that their bond transcends earthly ties. She is predeceased by her parents, Lee McAllister and Mary Byers, as well as her former husband, Marvin Woods, Sr., and her siblings, Mary, Jan, and Joe.
