THE OBITUARY FOR KIM D. JACKSON

Funeral Services for Mr. Kim Demetrius Jackson will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 11, 2026. In the Chapel of West Gadsden Funeral Home. Apostal Claudine Crumpler eulogist. Burial will be in the Alabama national cemetery 3133 Hwy 119, Montevallo, AL 35115.

Kim Demetrius Jackson, the fifth of six children born to the late Mrs. Artie B. Jackson Hogue and the late Mr. Grady Jackson, was born on January 21, 1959, in Etowah County, Alabama.

At an early age, Kim confessed Christ as his Lord and Savior and, upon baptism, united with Macedonia Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Reverend Baker. His spiritual foundation guided his path through life, shaping the character of a man who would later answer another call to service, this time to his country.

After faithfully completing his education he graduated from Gaston High School in 1977, Kim proudly enlisted in the United States Army, demonstrating courage, discipline, and a deep sense of duty. His military service stands as a lasting testament to his honor, sacrifice, and commitment to something greater than himself.

On Saturday, December 27, 2025, Kim peacefully departed this life at his home. He was preceded in death by his beloved siblings, Mary Francis Watts of Detroit, MI, Dafford Jackson of White Plains, MD and Scottie Bell of Hokes Bluff, AL; one brother-in-law, John W. Bell of Hokes Bluff, AL; a special cousin, Regnial Miller and his many cherished nieces, nephews, relatives, friends and special friends he worked with at Riverview.

Though he has transitioned from earthly labor to eternal rest, the memory of his strength, faith, and faithful service, both to God and to country, will forever remain in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
