Born in Macon, Chris attended Peach County Schools and was employed with JCI Construction as a welder. He enjoyed "working on things" and loved to hunt and fish.
Survivors include his wife, Melinda Goodwin; their children, Levi Goodwin and Annabel Goodwin; father, Tim Goodwin (Susan); mother, Becky Bond; sisters, Heather Grahek (Gary) and Sara Cavanagh (Sean); niece, Olivia Grahek; and nephew, Odin Grahek.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital (stjude.org). Rooks Funeral Home in Byron is in charge of arrangements.
