It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of Jacob C. Hansard on September 19, 2025.

Jake graduated from North Gwinnett High School, where he played one year on the football team, ran cross county, and was on the wrestling team. He attended Georgia State University College. After leaving college he opened a vape shop in downtown Atlanta, GA, which was open for 10 years before closing. He also worked a year at Floor & Decor at Mall of Georgia. Jake made many friends wherever he went and worked.

Jake loved each year family camping at Lake Lanier. He spent many summer vacations as a kid at Ormond by the Sea. FL. Jake loved fishing at Lake Lanier and going deep sea fishing whenever he could. He loved to explore and travel, including planning a trip to Colorado later this year. He was a kid at heart wanting to play board games as much as possible.

Jack is preceded in death by his grandparents, Walter AL and Cecelia Hansard, grandparents, Russell and Naomi Anger, Chrysten Root and many great aunts and uncles. He is survived by his parents, Dennis and Cathy Hansard, sister, Larissa Hansard, uncle, Leon Hansard, aunt, Donna and Randy Jones, uncle, Greg and Jill Hansard, many cousins and other family members and special friends, Koby and Lauren. When you saw Jake you met his dog Loki who was always by his side.

A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held on Sunday, October 26, 2025 from 11:15 AM - 1:45 PM at the River Forks Campground & Park, 3500 Keith Bridge Road, Gainesville, GA 30507, Pavilion #3. The family requests that everyone dress casually for the weather.

Upon arrival at River Forks Park, please advise the gate attendant that you are there to attend the event at pavilion 3 and you should have no entrance fees. The reservation is under Cathy and Dennis Hansard. The parking lot is on the left near pavilion.
