Rebecca Lee Smith "Becky" Singleton, age 85, of Cumming, GA (formerly of Tucker, GA), passed away Thursday morning, November 13, 2025.
Her funeral service will be held Thursday, November 20, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. in the Bill Head Funeral Home, Lilburn–Tucker Chapel, with The Rev. Mark Wood and The Rev. Trey Phillips officiating. Burial will follow at Floral Hills Memory Gardens, Tucker, GA.
Born in Atlanta, Becky graduated from Mercer University in Macon, where she was a founding sister of Alpha Gamma Delta Sorority. While at Mercer, she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in English. She married Jimmy Ronald "Ron" Singleton, and they were married for 47 years. Becky was a Christian writer who published poetry and wrote the Spark of the Spirit newsletter for several years at Tucker First Baptist Church, where she was a longtime member. After Ron retired, she became a Mary Kay Consultant and ministered to many of her clients, supporting them through their hardships. Most recently, she was a member of Cumming Baptist Church and the Friends and Faith Sunday School Class.
She loved spending time with her friends and family, dining out, taking family trips to the beach, and working in her garden. She treasured the companionship of her canine friend, "Precious," who had been Ron's and her shared dog and brought her great comfort in her later years. Becky was preceded in death by her parents, F. L. Smith and Willie Mae Smith; her brother, Bobby
J. Smith, Sr.; and her husband, Ron Singleton.
She is survived by her son, Mark Singleton, and daughter-in-law, Harriett Singleton; and her granddaughters, Elizabeth Singleton and Abigail Singleton, all of Acworth, GA.
Becky will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who were blessed by her kindness, faith, and sweet spirit.
Because Becky loved flowers, they are welcomed. Donations may also be made to Brookwood Christian School, Acworth, GA, in her honor (www.brookwoodchristian.com).
Condolences may be left at www.billheadfuneralhome.com.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, November 19, from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., and on Thursday from 12:00 p.m. until the hour of service at Bill Head Funeral Home and Crematory, Lilburn–Tucker Chapel. 770-564-2726
