Jacob “Jake” R. Farrell, age 21, of Lake Crystal, died April 20, 2025, from injuries of a motor vehicle accident.
A Celebration of Jake’s Life will be held at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, April 29, 2025, at Northview – North Mankato Mortuary. Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m., Monday, April 28, and will continue one hour before the service Tuesday all at Northview - North Mankato Mortuary. Interment will be in Lake Crystal Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in Jake’s memory are preferred.
Jacob Richard was born April 8, 2004, to Jason R. and Annette R. (Quade) Farrell in Mankato. Jake graduated from Lake Crystal Wellcome Memorial High School in 2022. Jake worked for the Lake Crystal Ace Hardware, helping farm for Dave and Ean Gilman, and for Benny’s Powersports in Lake Crystal as a mechanic since he was 16.
Jake enjoyed fishing, snowmobiling, 4-wheeling, farming for others, cutting trees, tinkering on his 1967 Cadillac Coupe DeVille, and fixing and helping with anything for his friends.
Jake is survived by his parents, Jason and Annette Farrell; sister, Haley Farrell; grandparents, Judy and Ed Ellanson, Albert Quade; his dogs, Maverick and Diesl; aunts and uncles, Amy and Paul Nelson, Damon and Elizabeth Quade; cousins, Bryan and Chelsey Nelson and their children, Tyler, Mason, and Carter, Jordan and Karre Nelson, and Landon Quade; and many extended family.
Jake was preceded in death by his grandfather, Richard “Dick” Farrell; grandmother, Laree Quade; and cousin, Brandon Nelson.
Jake had a huge heart and left a lasting impact on all that met him.
