Jacob Edwin "Jake" Miller, 85, of Wooster, passed away on Sunday, August 17, 2025, at his home while surrounded by his family and his companion pet, Baby, after a brief illness.

Jake was born on May 12, 1940, in Holmes County to John JB and Faronica "Fannie" (Mullet) Miller. He married Eva Belle Keller on May 7, 1983, and she preceded him in death on Sept. 2, 2019. Jake was a long-distance truck driver for 55 years having owned his own truck and had driven for Wooster Motor Ways. In retirement, he delivered RV Campers out of Indiana. He was a man who loved the Lord and who enjoyed gospel music, western shows, woodworking, fishing, hunting and mushroom hunting. He had made his home in Holmesville and Wooster most of his life.

Surviving are his four children, Brian Miller and Darin and wife Lori Miller of Indiana, Tonya and her husband John Stone of Shreve and Trina and her husband Les Wudarzewski of Wooster; 7 grandchildren, Nicholas, Darin Jr., Jessica, Alex, Anthony, Matia and Mariah, numerous great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Melvin Miller of Wooster, Lizzie Ann and her husband Monroe Miller of Florida, Malinda Ickes of Beach City and Wayne and his wife, Anita Miller of Kentucky and nieces and nephews.

Jake was preceded in death by his wife, his parents and brothers, Roman, Daniel, Marvin and John Henry.

Services will be Thursday, Aug. 21st at 2:00 p.m. at Murray Funeral Home in Fredericksburg with Pastor Bob Edinger officiating. Burial will be in Fredericksburg East Side Cemetery. Friends may call from 12:00 noon until time of services at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Ohio's Hospice LifeCare, 1900 Akron Rd., Wooster, OH 44691.
