Jacob Andrew Moore

Jacob Andrew Moore, 31, died suddenly at his home on June 11, 2022. He was born April 27, 1991, in Scottsbluff, Nebraska, to Monty G. and Katherine R. (Furrey) Moore.
Jacob was an intellectual and he pursued everything he became interested in with great passion until he was ready to dive into something new. He was a gamer and connected with others by streaming on an online gaming platform. His most recent pursuit was teaching himself to code. As a child, he was an exceptional violinist and had rekindled this hobby in recent years.
Jacob had a sweet, sensitive soul and was known for his great hugs. He had a vibrant smile. Though most who met Jacob would never know, he worked hard to overcome a long-time struggle with his mental health. We are thankful that before his death he had the opportunity to overcome these issues and had established a life that he could manage despite his struggles.
He was uncompromising in his ideas and beliefs. Everyone who knew him described him as kind and caring. He loved his family and was always a mama's boy.
Jacob is survived by: parents Monty and Katherine Moore, Hutchinson; sister, Jessica Burtin (Stephen), Wichita; nephew, Jackson Burtin, Wichita; Anna Patterson (Christian), Germany; nieces, Jaqueline, Mary, Lea, Germany; grandmother, Carolyn Furrey, Hutchinson; grandfather, Walton "Ed" Moore, North Platte, Nebraska; grandmother, Vicky Moore, North Platte, Nebraska; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by: sister, Karissa Lynn Shannon; grandfather, Earl Furrey; and uncle, Kenneth Furrey.
Memorial service will be 11 am Saturday, June 18, 2022, at Emanuel Lutheran Church, with Pastor Tim Carey officiating. The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 am at the church prior to the service. A private burial will take place in Memorial Park Cemetery at a later date.
Memorials are suggested to the Hutchinson Youth Symphony or the Mental Health Association of Nebraska, in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N. Main, Hutchinson, Ks 67501.
We take solace that he is now fully at peace, something he could never quite reach on earth.
