Jacob Paul Reed, born on April 11, 1945, in New Orleans, Louisiana, passed away on June 17, 2025, in Mandeville, Louisiana. He was a man who found joy in the simple pleasures of life, dedicating many hours to his passions for woodworking and building things. Jacob also had a deep appreciation for cars, often seen tinkering with them under the hood or admiring their designs.
Jacob shared his life with his beloved spouse, Sandra Boda Reed. He leaves behind to cherish his loving memories his son Ross Colin Reed his daughter-in-law Fran Reed (Anna F.), as well as a grandparent, where he took great delight in his granddaughter, Lillian Harper Reed, and left behind his lifelong friends Sharon West and Allen Coon, who has been there with love and support for the family. Jacob also leaves behind his beloved cat, Caruso.
Jacob was preceded in death by his parents, Gerald Emile Reed and Dorothy Stock Reed, and his best friend, Robert West, whose friendship meant the world to him.
Jacob Paul Reed will be remembered not just for his passions and talents but also for the love he shared with his family and friends. His legacy will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew him.
The family asks that in place of flowers and gifts, donations be made to St. Tammany Hospice in Jacob's honor.
