Jacob Scott Weaver, 29, of Evansville, Indiana, passed away Friday, April 25, 2025.
Jacob was born in Evansville, Indiana on January 23, 1996 to Richard and Jeannie (Joest) Weaver. He was a graduate of Signature High School and earned a bachelors in computer science from Indiana University. Jacob worked as a software engineer for Bloom Insurance in Bloomington. Throughout his life he was a Boy Scout and received the life scout rank. Jacob spent his free time gaming on his computer and rock climbing. He competed competitively in chess at the state level. Jacob will be dearly missed by all those knew and loved him.
Jacob is survived by his mother, Jeannie (Joest) Weaver; father, Richard Weaver; brothers, Richard Weaver, Jr., and Christopher Weaver; maternal aunts and uncles, Donna Joest (Mike), Karen Joest (Chris), Marie Konnersmen (Tobby), Cindy Adams, Kristy Cooper, Louis Kevin Joest Jr. (Anna), Mike Joest (Cheryl), and Tim Joest (Heather); paternal uncles, Robert Weaver Jr. (Kim) and Ron Weaver (Sally); and his k9 friends, Kuvo and Nito.
Jacob was preceded in death by his grandparents and sister, Bethany Weaver.
A celebration of Jacob's life will be held at 10:00 am on Friday, May 2, 2025 at Browning Funeral Home, 738 Diamond Ave., Evansville, IN 47711, with Pastor David Cullison officiating. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
Friends may visit from 3:00 pm until 7:00 pm on Thursday, May 1, 2025 at Browning Funeral Home with a rosary being led by Deacon Chris Borowiecki at 7:00pm. Visitation will continue on Friday from 9:00 am until service time.
