David McGary Obituary

David worked as a software engineer for the Evansville City Water and Sewer Utility. He was a graduate of Signature School where he was on the golf team. He attended Purdue University and the University of Southern Indiana. David enjoyed weightlifting, hanging out with friends, playing video games, and playing guitar. He liked to learn new languages and had recently taken up running. David was intelligent, thoughtful, kind, and generous.
Surviving David are his parents, Jesse and Carolyn McGary; his sister and brother-in-law, Sarah and Jared Shue; grandmother, Sandra McGary; grandfather, Richard Ibis, several aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by a grandmother, Barbara Ibis and grandfather, Bob McGary.
Funeral services will be private. Burial will take place in Lutheran Cemetery.

I went to high school with David. Every day David brought positive energy and was always a guy who made me feel welcomed. I can remember many lunches on the grassy knoll chatting, laughing, and telling stories with David.
