Jack was a retired oil barge captain for Maritrans and a member of Palestine Masonic Lodge #189 in Catonsville, MD.
He is survived by a daughter, Elizabeth Smith and husband Corey of Selbyville, DE; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren, awaiting the arrival of a third great-grandchild; former wife, Ruth E. Hauf; one brother, one sister; and a niece.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Catherine T. Maaskant.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday July 19, 2025 at Roxana Cemetery Gum Road, Frankford, DE.
In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to a charity of choice.
