Jacqualine Sokol, 86, of Anderson, passed away on July 28, 2024 at Countryside Manor Health and Living following an extended illness. She was born on May 21, 1938 in Anderson, Indiana to Charles Sokol and Marcella (Conner) Sokol.
She graduated from Anderson High School, and later went on to obtain her bachelors degree from Hanover College. Jacqualine furthered her education and received her masters degree from California State University in North Ridge, California.
Jacqualine spent 32 years in California and was a school teacher educating students for the majority of her life. She retired in 1994. Jacqualine was a member of the Central Christian Church. She also taught in Australia for one year and loved traveling the world.
She is survived by a brother, Phillip (Sheila) Sokol, of Sorrento, Florida; Nieces, Savannah Sokol and Courtney Koster of Sorrento, Fl; Niece, Leslie Chelland of Cambridgeshire, UK and nephew Derek Scherer of Mocksvillle, NC. Jackie also leaves behind several loved cousins. We especially want to thank Joanna Gavin and her daughter Teresa and Angie Massey for all their care and assistance they provided our beloved Jackie in her last months of life. She also leaves behind her neighbors Bill and Susan Herbig of Anderson who loved and cared for her like their own this couple of years. She is also survived by her beloved cat Bandit.
Jacqualine was preceded in death by her parents and nephew, Brandon C Sokol.
A celebration of life will take place at a later date at Bozell Funeral Homes, Brown-Butz-Diedring Chapel, 515 East 53rd Street, Anderson, Indiana 46013.
