Norman Ray Alexander, 94, of Anderson, a devoted Christian and loving family man, entered his eternal home with Jesus, on September 20, 2025. Born on June 20, 1931, in Datto, Arkansas, Norman graduated from Anderson High School and went on to serve his country faithfully in both the United States Navy Reserves and the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. Following his military service, he built a long career as a service manager with IBM. A faithful servant of the Lord, Norman was a member of the Columbus Avenue Church of Christ and served as an Elder, where he encouraged and guided others with wisdom, humility, and a steadfast faith. His love for Christ was evident in the way he lived each day. In his younger years, Norman enjoyed fishing and boating. Later in life, he found great joy in working puzzles gifted to him by his family at Christmas-simple moments that brought him lifelong happiness. Above all, Norman cherished his family. He adored his wife, children, grandchildren, and extended family, and his face lit up whenever he spoke of them. His grandchildren were his pride and joy, and his legacy of love and faith will continue to live on through them. He is survived by his daughter, Diana (Richard) Shelton of Anderson; grandchildren, Mike Shelton (Amy) of Middletown, Leslie Davis (Scott) of Markleville, Amber Kinsey (Brent) of Shirley, Vanessa Sellers (Ryan) of Pendleton, Sean Alexander (Kari) of Daleville, and Ashley Alexander (Kaleb) of Lapel; 14 great-grandchildren; and 8 great-great-grandchildren. Also, surviving is his brother, Darrel Alexander (Linda) of Edmond, OK. Norman was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Dortha J. Alexander; his son, Michael R. Alexander; and his mother, Edna Larimore. We rejoice in knowing they are now reunited in Heaven, and we take comfort in the promise that Norman is home with Jesus, free from pain and sorrow, and surrounded by everlasting joy. Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 25, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Loose Funeral Home, Anderson, IN. A celebration of Norman's life will follow at 1:00 p.m., with Brother Jim Harrison officiating. Burial will take place at Anderson Memorial Park. www.LooseCares.com
