Hayworth-Miller Funeral Homes Kernersville Chapel - KernersvilleJacque Sue Blackwelder Allen, 88, passed away Saturday, December 27, 2025, peacefully at her home. She was born July 31, 1937, in Iredell County to the late Lonnie and Evelyn Current Blackwelder. Jacque loved gardening, traveling and spending time with her family. Jacque particularly enjoyed spending time in their Blowing Rock home. She was very talented in arts, such as crafting and sewing, and had an eye for decorating.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 69 years, William “Jack” Jackson Allen; one sister, Peggy Hinkle; two brothers, Dickie Parker and Barry Parker; a granddaughter, Rachel Allen King; a grandson, Seth Allen Hollar; as well as a great-granddaughter, Kennedy King.
Left to cherish her memory are her three children, Keith Allen (Paulette), Mark Allen (Behnam), and Sylena Allen (Rick Hall); seven grandchildren, Jake Allen (Jenifer), Patrick Needham (Laura), Chris Needham (Melissa), Ben Needham, Shaylen Greenberg (Marc), Courtney Hall (Chris), and Payton Hall; six great grandchildren, Brooklyn King, Lilly Allen, and Connor Greenberg, Tyler Needham, Ella Needham, and Murphy Needham; sister-in-law, Sonja Allen; many special nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A joint memorial service for Jacque Allen and Seth Hollar will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, January 16, 2026, at St. Paul United Methodist Church in Hamptonville, NC, with the Rev. Scott Hagaman officiating. Burial will immediately follow in the church cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the Shephard Center at 636 Gralin St, Kernersville, NC 27284.
