Jacque Marie Wood, 84, passed away peacefully on February 23, 2025, in Hermitage, TN. Jacque was born on January 24, 1941, in Cherryvale, KS, to Dr. Thomas Kenneth Wood and Marie Isabelle Henley.
Her mother passed in 1946, and her stepmother Joan Marie (Owens) and Dr TK Wood raised her in Independence, KS. She married Arlynn LeRoy King in Arkansas City, KS in 1959, and had three children Dr Bradley Scott, LTC Rodney Lee and Thomas Joe King.
She is survived by her three sons and her brother Stephen Dale Wood, nine grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren, and daughter's-in-law Julie and Susan King.
She is preceded in death by her father, mother, and brother Gary Kenneth Wood. She was a Social Worker and worked with troubled teens. Art was her passion, and she passed her creative talents on to several of her grandchildren.
Viewing on March 3rd at 11:00 am to 1:15pm at Potts Funeral Home, 403 Clark Street, Cherryvale, KS 67335. She will be laid to rest at Fairview Cemetery in Cherryvale, KS on March 3rd at 2pm, 427 Olive Street, Cherryvale, KS 67335.
