Jacqueline D. Boyd of Trumansburg passed away on October 11, 2025 at Cayuga Ridge Nursing and Rehabilitation, Ithaca, New York at the age of 88.
She was born on December 6, 1936, in Cortland, New York, to the late Lewis and Hiliary (Hickey) deCoudres. She was raised in the Groton area and graduated from Groton High School in 1954. Initially, Jacque worked at Cornell University, then as a secretary at Charles O. Dickerson High School in Trumansburg. While employed at Tompkins Trust, Jacque was actively involved in the American Institute of Banking and organized the creation of an employee cookbook and an annual employee craft sale.
Throughout her life, Jacque was known for her remarkable planning skills. She was the ultimate organizer, always managing the creation of special groups and attending to the many and varied details of life. She enjoyed sewing, knitting, and crafting of all kinds.
She was a member of the mysterious TBDB's ladies craft group in the 1970’s in Trumansburg, the Trumansburg Senior Citizens, and the Ladies Auxiliary at Trumansburg American Legion.
Jacque is survived by her husband of 67 years, David Boyd; two daughters, Terry (Mark) Welch and Kimberly deCoudres; five grandchildren Chelsea (AJ) LeViere, Garrett (Lori) Welch, Brett Welch, Ashleigh (Stephen) Catalfamo, and Kira deCoudres; eleven great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Jacque was predeceased by her parents; her sister Patricia deCoudres Caruthers; her grandson, Camden Rundell; and her great-granddaughter, Audrey Catalfamo.
A memorial service will be held on October 24, 2025, at 3:00pm at Ness-Sibley Funeral Home, 23 South St, Trumansburg. Those who are so inclined are encouraged to wear blue nail polish.
