Jacqueline Hazel Fairhurst

Jacqueline Hazel Fairhurst, a cherished mother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on January 11, 2025, in New Port Richey, Florida. Born on June 19, 1936, in Hodgdon, Maine, to Luella and John Hanson, Jacqueline's life was a testament to love, faith, and thoughtful kindness.
Jacqueline was known for her loving nature, her infectious energy, and her friendly disposition. Professionaly, she worked at Pratt & Whitney in Hartford, Connecticut, where one of her proudest moments was giving the legendary Charles Lindbergh a tour of the facilities. Her love for life was also evident in her personal passions; she adored traveling, playing games, and most of all, spending quality time with her family and friends.
She is survived by her children, Kevin Schools, Tammie Fairhurst, Jeffrey Schools, and Brett Schools; her sister, Ruth Townsend; her brother, Larry Hanson; boyfriend Paul Gauci and was a beloved Nana to 11 grandchildren and Gigi to 14 great-grandchildren.
Jacqueline was a gifted vocalist, part of The Mission-Airs, a gospel trio that toured throughout New England and even recorded a professional album in Nashville, Tennessee, leaving a legacy of music and faith.
Her warmth, her style, and her indomitable spirit will be deeply missed but forever remembered by all who knew her.
At the request of Jacqueline's Son's and Daughter, her ashes will be buried with her Father and Brother in Connecticut at an Intimate Family Ceremony in the spring
