Jacqueline "Lori" (Archer) Graffam
60 years old, born Sept. 26, 1963 in Anchorage, Alaska passed away
after a short, yet courageous battle with Pancreatic cancer at her home
in Auburn, Maine surrounded by her family in the late evening of Monday, June 17 th, 2024.
Lori is survived by her loving and devoted partner Todd Whitney, her
mother Lynette Jones, sisters Lynelle Libby (Kendell), Kerrie Huggins
(Doug), Ronna Jones (Ike), daughter Bethany Graffam (Joe), son
Nicholas Graffam (Natalie), grandson Evan & granddaughter Ava. Nieces
& nephew Lindsay, Jaclyn and Robert Anania, Ashlee & Shalee. Whitney
sons Wade (Natasha), Randall (Jamie), grandchildren Sage, Kaden, Reid, Alivia, Myles, Gavin, & Isla.
Lori is a 1981 graduate of Falmouth High School, Falmouth, Maine. Lori
and Todd shared a passion for Harness Horse racing and traveled
around the country together as Todd competed in the amateur harness
horse races. She owned and bred numerous horses with family and
friends. Her proudest accomplishments were her children, as she took
great pride in watching her son train & drive horses with great success,
and her daughter also making her mark in the harness horse racing
industry, having served on the board of directors for Maine Harness
Horseman's Association; spokesman & volunteer for Pacing for the
Cure, & assistant trainer. She was overjoyed with each award and
recognition they each received. Lori truly enjoyed the peacefulness of
their country home, and delighted in the sounds of the whippoorwills in
the evening. She loved to entertain her family and friends, and made
the best desserts! Attending her son's wedding to Natalie Michaud on
June 1 st became her main focus and by the grace of God, she did,
leaving all in attendance with tears of joy and love as she and her son shared their very special dance.
Lori's family heritage runs deep, a Native American Indian, Potawatomi
Citizen Band, eligible Daughter's of the American Revolution, and
United Daughters of the Confederacy. Her family was so grateful when
she traveled last year to Oregon for her mother and aunt's 80 th birthday party, reuniting with so many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Lori is preceded in death by her father Jack Archer, step-father Rod
Jones, grandparents Duane & Faye Archer, and John & Elsie Stroope.
Our Lori will never be forgotten, always missed and loved forever by
her family and wealth of friends she so dearly cherished, especially
Doug & Connie Lamoreaux, and Don & Joan Harmon, a special heartfelt
thanks for always being her people. To her neighbor Caryn for
compassionate family support & hospice guidance, CMMC & Cancer Care Center, we thank you!
A Celebration of Life will be held at her residence 285 Trapp Rd. Auburn on Sunday June 30 th, 2024 at 3pm.
