Jacqueline “Jackie” Groth, age 77, of Neenah, passed away peacefully, surrounded by loved ones at Valley VNA Senior Care on Wednesday December 17, 2025. She was born in Appleton on April 8, 1948, to the late Edward M. and Mary J. (Malloy) Martin.

After graduating from Xavier High School, Jackie attended the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh for 2 years. She worked various jobs in her lifetime including the Do-We Grill, The Hot Fish Shoppe, Willies Supper Club, Landers Office Products and finally retiring from the Kaukauna Clinic.Jackie married the love of her life, Norm in Las Vegas on March 26, 1977, and they shared forty-one beautiful years together.

Jackie enjoyed bowling, playing darts with the girls, and, in her younger years, her trips “up north” to their place on Rolling Stone Lake. Upon retirement, she volunteered at ThedaCare Appleton and was a long-time member of Lake Park Swim and Fitness where she loved her swimming classes.

Jackie was a loving, kind-hearted person who adored her family and friends, all animals (especially her cat, Twinkle), reading and most of all, her grandchildren.

Jackie is survived by her daughter Deanna (Patrick) Keaney of Auburn, MA; her grandchildren Kieran and Cassie Keaney; her sister Vivian (Jeff) Vanden Hogen; her brother-in-law Bill Groth; sister-in-law Gail Gertsch and many dear nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her husband Norm Groth, sister-in-law JoAnn Groth, nephew Jim Groth, and niece Cindy (Dave) Anholzer.

A memorial service will take place on Saturday January 17, 2026, at 11:00am at Wichmann Funeral Home, 537 N Superior Street, Appleton. Friends and family may gather at the funeral home from 9:00am until the service begins. Jackie will be laid to rest at Riverside Cemetery, Appleton.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Jackie’s name to the Fox Valley Humane Association, N115 Two Mile Road, Appleton, WI 54914 (foxvalleypets.org)

Jackie’s family would like to thank the incredible staff of Valley VNA Senior Care and Moments Hospice for the love and compassionate care given to her and our family.
