On Wednesday January 4, 2023, Jacqueline P. Holland passed away at her home in Toms River surrounded by members of her family. She was 90 years old. Jacqueline was born to Alfred and Jeanne Le Calvez on August 30, 1932, in the Parish of St. Lawrence Jersey Channel Islands. She immigrated to the United States at the age of 15.
She was predeceased by her parents; her loving husband Raymond J. Holland to whom she was married for 15 years until his death in 1988; her sister Jeanette Rock; brothers Alfred, Victor, and Francis Le Calvez; and her niece Susan Le Calvez.
Jacqueline is survived by her best friend Agnes Koval of Toms River, niece Corinne Malmberg (Glenn) of Manasquan, great niece Ali Mancini (Nick) of Carlsbad California, great Nephew Mike Malmberg (Teresa) of Marlborough Massachusetts, Niece Maureen Toy and Niece Jacqueline Le Calvez and their families in Europe, and her stepdaughters Marie Beagan and Barbara McLaughlin and their families of New Jersey.
Jacqueline and her best friend of 70 years Agnes Koval met in their early 20's while co-workers at New Jersey Bell Telephone Company at Newark, New Jersey. In the years following their retirement, they were active in the New Jersey Bell Pioneers, the United States Navy Armed Guard Auxiliary, and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary. Participating in these organizations,they traveled throughout the United States. They also enjoyed playing slot machines in Atlantic City.
Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation Monday, January 9, 2023, at Orender Family Home for Funerals, 2643 Old Bridge Road in Manasquan, NJ 08736, from 10:00AM – 12:00 PM, with a service to begin at 11:30AM. A burial will take place at Van Liew Cemetery, 585 Georges Rd, North Brunswick, NJ 08902, on Monday, January 9, 2023, at 1:30PM.
