Jacqueline "Jackie" Faye Koonce, 82, of Amarillo, died Friday, August 27, 2021.

Services will be at 10:00 A.M., Tuesday, August 31, 2021, in Boxwell Brothers Ivy Chapel with Michael Carter, officiating. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd.

Jackie was born on January 5, 1939, in Amarillo, Texas to Jessie and John Pippen. Jackie's first job was at the Twinges Drive-In where she was a carhop on roller skates. She retired as a medical transcriptionist and was a member of River Road Baptist Church.

Jackie enjoyed bowling, playing softball, Rolling Hills Riding Club Play Days and square dancing. Later in life she loved gardening, sewing, scrapbooking, especially making individual photo albums of her love ones. Her favorite time was spent with her family and grandchildren.

She married Lloyd Glenn Koonce on May 7, 1959. He preceded her in death on February 24, 1994.

Jackie is survived by her son Glenn Koonce and wife Dee; brother, Leonard Pippen; sister, Jessie Kenner, all of Amarillo; four grandchildren, Michael Junell and wife Racquel; Brad Junell and wife Nicki; Christina Downs and husband Shannon; and Christopher Moore and wife Elissa; twelve great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 6 – 7 p.m. , Monday, August 30, 2021 at the funeral home.
