In Loving Memory of Jacqueline Lewthwaite

Jacqueline Lewthwaite, a devoted servant of God and the cherished matriarch of her family, was called home to her eternal rest on Monday, August 25, 2025. Her life was a beautiful testament to her unwavering faith and the boundless love she held for her family.

Born to Richard and Emma Peters, Jacqueline built her life on a foundation of Christian values, kindness, and prayer. Her devotion was a quiet, daily practice that guided her every action. For countless years, she concluded each day by reading her Bible, drawing strength, wisdom, and peace from its pages. This sacred ritual was a cornerstone of her life, a practice she held dear until she was no longer able to due to the progression of Alzheimer's. Even when her memory faded, the love she had cultivated in her heart for God and her family remained a palpable and comforting presence to all around her.

Jacqueline’s hands were rarely still, always busy creating and giving. She expressed her love through her passion for arts and crafts, pouring her heart into beautiful paintings and intricate sewing projects that her family will treasure for generations. She found immense joy in the simple pleasure of playing games, and her laughter often filled the room during lively sessions with her beloved grandchildren and dear friends. These moments of connection and joy were precious to her.

She is now reunited in Heaven with her beloved husband, James Peter Lewthwaite; her parents, Richard and Emma Peters; and her three sisters and one brother who passed before her.

Her legacy of love and faith continues through those she leaves behind. She is lovingly remembered by her two sisters and her five children: Carlotta Grays, Jimmy Lewthwaite, Michael Lewthwaite, Richard Lewthwaite, and Andrew Lewthwaite. She was the proud and doting grandmother to eleven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren, each of whom brought immense light and joy to her life.

Jacqueline Lewthwaite’s life was a tapestry woven with threads of faith, family, and creativity. While she will be profoundly missed, her family rejoices in the knowledge that she is at peace in the loving arms of her Savior, her memory and spirit fully restored.

(Ecclesiastes 3:1-4) “There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens: a time to be born and a time to die, a time to plant and a time to uproot, a time to kill and a time to heal, a time to tear down, and a time to build, a time to weep and a time to laugh, a time to mourn and a time to dance.”

I know Grandma would want us to dance and celebrate her life, and that she is finally with her soul mate in heaven.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate Jacqueline's life.

Visitation will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, September 5, 2025, at White’s Funeral Home, 101 N. E. 4th Ave., Mineral Wells, with the funeral service beginning at 12:00 p.m.

Interment will follow the service at Woodland Park Cemetery, 2600 S. Oak Ave., Mineral Wells.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association in Jacqueline's memory.
