Jacqueline K. "Jackie" Magner

Jacqueline "Jackie" K. Magner, 84, of Peoria, IL, passed peacefully at OSF St. Francis Medical Center on Tuesday, May 7, 2024, at 5:51 p.m. surrounded by loved ones.
Jackie was born on February 8, 1940, in Peoria to Edwin "Jake" and Verna Crombar. She married James L. Magner on July 1, 1982, and he preceded her in death on July 29, 2015. Jackie was further preceded by her parents and daughter, Ellen Bressner.
She is survived by five children: Scott (Josie) Kirk of St. Louis, MO, Doug Kirk of Peoria, IL, Michelle (Roy) Gadomski of Northville, MI, J. David (Becky) Magner of Ninety-Six, SC, and Susan (Scott) Faulkner of Dunlap, IL, and ten grandchildren: Erin (Eric) Schafermeyer, Ashley Kirk-Staples, Kristie Kirk, Grant Gadomski, Abby Gadomski, Brandon (Corrinne) Magner, Andy Magner, Sarah Magner, Jennifer (Joe) Marquez, and Megan Faulkner. Also surviving are two great-grandchildren, Carson and Jake, that she was "Gigi" to and cousin, Cheri (Bill) Moyers.
Jackie was a beloved wife, mom, aunt, cousin, grandma, and Gigi. She was a ray of sunshine to everyone she met, and her smile would light up any room she entered. She enjoyed lunches with friends, visitors of any sort and being surrounded by family, making her home the gathering spot of many. Though she's waved goodbye to us for the last time, she is finally reunited with the loves of her life, Jim and Freeway Magner.
The family wishes to thank the entire staff at OSF St. Francis Medical Center for the compassionate care given in her final days.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, May 13, 2024, at The Wilton Mortuary with visitation an hour prior. The burial will follow the service at Lutheran Cemetery.
