Jacqueline Grace Perez went home to be with The Lord on April 9, 2025.
Jackie was born on December 10, 1961 to Arnold and Grace Mellado in Miami, Florida
Jackie is survived by her husband, Carlos and two children GraceMarie Stephens and Carlos Perez Junior. She is also survived by her father Arnold Mellado and brothers, Mike, Manny and Johnny Mellado, her Grandchildren, Sean and Sophia Stephens. Great granddaughters, Audrey and Olivia Stephens, Son-in-law Frank Stephens and Granddaughter-In-Law Cyndi Stephens.
Carlos and Jackie got married on November 21, 1981 in Miami Florida and welcomed their first daughter on December 3, 1982, then had a son on February 11, 1985. They decided to leave Miami shortly after their son was born and moved to Lady Lake Florida and that's where they lived for many happy years.
Jackie was a very special person with a heart of gold. She was profoundly in love with the Lord! She loved going to church listening to Christian music and basically anything that had to do with worshiping God.
Her favorite NFL team was the Dolphins even though they weren't any good or won a Superbowl, lol.
She loved listening to Michael Jackson songs and watching scary movies, even though they gave her nightmares. Jackie was loved by so many and will be truly missed, but will always be remembered by her friends and especially her family. It brings us much sadness that she is gone, but comfort in knowing that she is finally home with the Lord, her mother who she loved very much and her two brothers Arnold and Alex Mellado.
Rest in peace, Jackie, we will love you always and forever.
A Committal Service for Jackie will be held on Tuesday, April 15, 2025 at 11:00 AM at Lone Oak Cemetery in Leesburg.
