Jacqueline (Lucas) Taylor, 69, of Whitman passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of her family on January 20, 2026. Born in Weymouth, Jacqueline was the daughter of the late John and Winifred Lucas. Known for her kindness, strength, and unwavering devotion to those she cared for Jacqueline touched the lives of everyone fortunate enough to know her.
Jackie, (as most knew her) was a truly loving and caring woman, whose heart was always focused on others. Her greatest joy in life was being a mother, a role she embraced with strength, devotion, and unconditional love. Jackie is known for her ability to listen with compassion and without judgment. She created a safe space for others simply by being herself and offering understanding. Her presence made people feel valued, heard, and never alone.
Family was the heart of Jackie’s world. One of her greatest joys was the yearly family vacations to Lake Winnipesaukee, where memories were made, stories were shared, and the family grew close and larger with each passing summer. These trips became a cherished tradition filled with laughter, togetherness, and the kind of moments that last a lifetime.
She was the loving wife of nearly 50 years to the love of her life Gary Taylor Sr. , who was always by her side through all of life‘s adventures and was her constant source of strength. Loving mother to Jennifer Comperchio and her husband Jim of Hanover, Amy Proulx and her husband Adam of Whitman, Gary Taylor Jr. and his wife Jennifer of Whitman, her late son Matthew who will be welcoming his mother into heaven with a big hug, and Meagan Adukonis who she loved as if she was her own daughter. Adoring Nannie to DJ, Lucas, Halle, Ryan, Logan, Makenzie, Taylor, and Kaylee. She is also remembered fondly by her extended family, her beloved in-laws, nieces and nephews, and her father-in-law George Taylor and late mother-in-law Barbara Taylor who she loved very much, and close friends who had countless memories with her.
